Warm Croissant of Suzette, Fig and Prosciutto Croissant
This is the kind of breakfast that turns an ordinary morning into something worth celebrating.
A warm croissant filled with Halls Suzette makes a beautiful breakfast or brunch dish. Serve it as it is, or warm it gently in the oven and let the cheese melt through the pastry.
Simple, generous, and perfect for sharing on special mornings.
FYI Suzette is great on toasted fruit bread with a splash of honey and a few toasted flaked almonds for crunch, or in a toasted sandwich with fruit paste or prosciutto. Get creative and enjoy your Suzette at breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
1 x fresh Croissant
80g Suzette sliced into 2-3 think pieces
1 x Fresh fig, sliced into four pieces
1-2 slices prosciutto
Dark fruit jam to serve (optional)
To Prepare
Slice almost all the way through the centre of a warmed croissant.
Layer in ingredients and either enjoy fresh or pop back in the oven to melt the Suzette.
Swap fig for sliced tomato or even a good quality dark fruit jam depending on which way you swing.
Tomato for a more savoury vibe
Jam for a lean into salty sweet territory.
